In a unexpected collaboration that challenges traditional predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Disclosed

According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The plot features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine cult.

The adventure focuses on "peculiar trials and a terrifying enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Changes

The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer concludes with a striking moment showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Bonus Material

Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an special katana in addition to multiple items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Newest Free Story Addition

This release also adds the game's latest free story episode, titled "A Puzzlement." This represents not the first time the Assassin's Creed franchise has partnered with well-known anime properties. The series previously included a 2020 crossover story linking Assassin's Creed: Valhalla with Makoto Yukimura's Vinland Saga. Furthermore, Valhalla informally contained a quest that obviously echoed the popular series One-Punch Man.
